Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Why the name?: His parents had a tendency to re-name their kids after their personality started showing. It was Bo, Joseph, and finally Arnan. The name means “quick and joyful” and certainly fits him to a tee. His smile can light any room and often enough he slides quickly after hearing something he likes, especially if it has to do with food. Arnan did this more when he was younger, but the sliding did stop eventually when he accidentally ran into a lamp, breaking it. Thea was a surprise all around. He was a 'Gift' his mother had stated upon his birth, especially since at the time neither of them had been considering the idea of kits. When his mother had found out she was ecstatic to tell her partner who was equally excited. They had figured their life was just passing by at the time, lacking... something. Something like Thea- Not that they could have told you at the time. Thea would always be their gift, their light that had brightened both of their lives and made it better.
