As Kallie kneaded the bread dough, she heard the sing of the oven, signaling that it was ready. She put her first tray of bread in, and closed the oven. She went back to her dough, and once it was good, put it in the other bread pan.

Kallie adored baking bread. It was calming to her.

She needed to be kept busy a lot and had to constantly move. Baking bread was the perfect solution because of all the preparation that went into it. It kept her mind and body occupied.

She also loves the smell of it in the oven. The mouth-watering fragrance lingered around the house for a day or two after baking, and since she did it everyday, the house always smelled this good.

Kallie baked other things, like brownies and cookies, but bread was her favourite by far. No need to buy it from the store, no sir!

The timer for the bread went off, and Kallie smiled, grabbed the little towel and pulled the bread out of the oven and put the other tray in. After letting the bread cool, she took a bite and sighed. Nothing like homemade bread.
