Misu is a quiet, strong-willed Kitsuneko with an intense love of water. With his aquatic mutation he is capable of life both on land and in water, though he still requires air. His personality has been likened to that of a dolphin, endlessly curious and always looking for new sources of amusement. He spends most of his time underwater, his foxfire lighting the way for him in the depths and creating an eerie glow that most humans have labelled a supernatural phenomena. They aren't exactly wrong.
Around other Kitsuneko he is quiet but cheerful-minded, a free-spirited individual who does not quite fill the definition of 'shy'... Perhaps just overly nervous of criticism. Misu often expects others to see him as a freak for his fins and gills, though personally he is exceptionally proud of them and is often seen preening on lakeshores. It wasn't until he encountered others of his species that he realised how different he was, and it makes him mildly uncomfortable. His fur is much more wiry and oilier than normal, resembling an otter's pelt or horse's fur more than a fox or cat. His mother was a Kelpie, and his father a Kitsuneko, so he inherited this from his mother. Misu often remarks it is lucky he did, as he would not be able to swim as well if his fur weighed him down.
He is fast both in water and on land, yet much stronger underwater. It is as if he draws his power from the water, almost like the Kelpie. It is for this reason he often returns to a body of water at night, to recover his strength. Being on land is not tiring for him, but it is difficult for him to become accustomed to the change in strength it brings about.
