"Firelight Egg"

It seems while me and my sister were moving that we stumbled across an egg among our belongings. It is not uncommon, since so many Runes make their nests in our cottage as we try to find them a good home, it's just that we have never had a Rune from this type come into our cottage before. The soft glow which emanates from it's shell and the small Firelight flies that fly around it, are what gives this eggs origin away. Firelight Flies are indigenous only to Eldemore and usually carry a small ember within them that creates a never ending glow. This egg is from a Firelight Rune, they attract the small flies to them and store them within a lantern on their tail to help light the way for weary travelers and are of the fire element as well. These small Runes are about the size of your average owl and are quite intelligent creatures. They are often found in vast libraries and among the scholars of the cities since they love to read so much, and are also known for their great penmanship! They are a travelers favorite companion when darkness comes, and their glow is even said to calm any wild spirit away from their bearers while out exploring. I have decided to give this egg to my sister to help her on her expeditions. I am far too busy enough keeping the runes at our cottage, and she has been in need of something to care for and light her way. As many Gypsies and Travelers say to one another "Safe travels my friend, and my the Firelights always guide your way."
