Here is some info on the CLRs:
Camelot Riders are European racing horses that date back to the 1500s. The first known sightings of them were in Carlisle, an English county town. Carlisle is thought to be the location of "the real Camelot", and there are many legends regardng the sudden sprouting of the Camelot Rider breed. In the most vastly known tale, it is written that the two unicorns whom inhabited those lands created the first of each line of the Riders. While the ancient texts do not directly state the reason for the unicorns creating the breed, it is often inferred that they did so because the king who ruled those lands had cruelly hunted down the last of the unicorns for their horns, believing them to contain magical properties. He managed to capture and kill all but two of them: Iridia and Ouroboros. Being the last of their kind, they grew more and more lonesome throughout the years. They knew that creating a line of new unicorns would be for nothing, the King would only hunt them down again. So instead, Iridia and Ouroboros, still in hiding themselves, created a line of mere horses to grace the lands of Camelot.
---
It was noticed by the people of the land that these horses were unusually fast, and today, domesticated CLRs can be found all over the globe. Wild Riders, however, are rarely ever found. When they are discovered, they are typically captured and tamed fairly quickly. This is probably due to them being a very sought after breed. They wear medieval-like tack that is most often comprised of various fabrics and leathers, but is every so often made of a light metal that does not inhibit their racing abilities. The Riders must be wearing official CLR medieval tack in order to compete in the racing and show events. Riders are organized in a sort of hierarchy system. Almost every CLR that is put up for adoption or created through breeding will begin at peasant level. From there, they have to earn a higher rank through participating in events.
---
During the course of each year, there will be multiple staff-run events held for this species. In these events, horses and their owners can win a large variety of fun prizes. Some of these prizes will be things like custom tack, customs horses, or tokens. Tokens are the CLR official currency and they can be spent at the token store where users can purchase all sorts of unique items with the tokens they've earned with their hard work. These items can then be used to upgrade their horses and tack. See the Information Center (linked above) for more info on this species and their events.
