Here is some info on the CLRs:
Camelot Riders are European racing horses that date back to the 1500s. The first known sightings of them were in Carlisle, an English county town. Carlisle is thought to be the location of "the real Camelot", and there are many legends regardng the sudden sprouting of the Camelot Rider breed. In the most vastly known tale, it is written that the two unicorns whom inhabited those lands created the first of each line of the Riders. While the ancient texts do not directly state the reason for the unicorns creating the breed, it is often inferred that they did so because the king who ruled those lands had cruelly hunted down the last of the unicorns for their horns, believing them to contain magical properties. He managed to capture and kill all but two of them: Iridia and Ouroboros. Being the last of their kind, they grew more and more lonesome throughout the years. They knew that creating a line of new unicorns would be for nothing, the King would only hunt them down again. So instead, Iridia and Ouroboros, still in hiding themselves, created a line of mere horses to grace the lands of Camelot.
---
It was noticed by the people of the land that these horses were unusually fast, and today, domesticated CLRs can be found all over the globe. Wild Riders, however, are rarely ever found. When they are discovered, they are typically captured and tamed fairly quickly. This is probably due to them being a very sought after breed. They wear medieval-like tack that is most often comprised of various fabrics and leathers, but is every so often made of a light metal that does not inhibit their racing abilities. The Riders must be wearing official CLR medieval tack in order to compete in the racing and show events. Riders are organized in a sort of hierarchy system. Almost every CLR that is put up for adoption or created through breeding will begin at peasant level. From there, they have to earn a higher rank through participating in events.
---
During the course of each year, there will be multiple staff-run events held for this species. In these events, horses and their owners can win a large variety of fun prizes. Some of these prizes will be things like custom tack, customs horses, or tokens. Tokens are the CLR official currency and they can be spent at the token store where users can purchase all sorts of unique items with the tokens they've earned with their hard work. These items can then be used to upgrade their horses and tack. See the Information Center (linked above) for more info on this species and their events.

---
{The mascots pictured above are, from left to right, Iridia and Ouroboros.}

loose species rule layout=

-- One warning and then you get a temp ban and then a perm ban for the third offense
-- Annnd you have to own a CLR for 2 weeks before rehoming them. You cannot rehome a CLR to a user with their adoption limit filled.
-- You must have a stable before you are able to owna second CLR
-- I actually don't think I'm going to allow FCFSs now that I am thinking about it more
-- 5 slots per CLR, you can buy a maximum of 5 extra per CLR via the token store.
-- After you order a breeding, there is a breeding cooldown and you must wait two weeks before ordering another one. Newborn foals will "reach adulthood" two weeks after the artist posts them, during this two week period, they cannot breed.
-- As of right now, adoption limit is five CLRs per user (this will be lifted once the community gets bigger and we have more adopts out). This rule only applies to adopts, and does not affect customs. There is no breeding max so long as you pay attention to all of the breeding cooldowns.
-- You can only adopt one CLR per week.
-- Be kind to everyone
--CLRs are a mostly free adopt. However, there is the ocassional opportunity to buy certain things with DA points. Do not complain about this please.
--CLRs can be of any sexuality you wish, but they must either be male or female (no genderfluid, agender, etc.)
--Same-sex couples can breed together through a process called stem-cell breeding.
--Male CLRs can become geldings. However, once an owner has chosen to do this, it can never be undone. Changing your stallion into a gelding will not affect his rank, but it will improve certain areas of his skills. (Skills are used for events).
--The typical Thoroughbred ranges from 15.2 to 17.0 hands (62 to 68 inches, 157 to 173 cm) high, averaging 16 hands (64 inches, 163 cm). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_(unit)
--You can sell your CLRs to other users for official CLR tokens ONLY, and you must PM me first before doing so. As long as the two of you have an agreed upon price and don't cause a fuss over it, I don't mind if you trade them for other CLRs or sell them for tokens.
--You can "stud" your horses out to other users if you'd like. However, you can ONLY sell the breeding slot for tokens or other breeding slots. You may charge no more than __ tokens for a single breeding slot. You may charge however many breeding slots you and the other person have agreed upon.
--Tack does not pass to foals, but skills from the parents somewhat influence the foal's skills.
--Do not add tack to your horse's ref, an artist will do it for you. If you do it yourself, it will not be obviously considered official CLR tack, and you will receive a warning. This includes art of your character. If you draw art of your character with it's tack on, you are only allowed to draw it's official CLR tack.
--Geldings are allowed but it can never be undone if you choose to go through with it. This means the CLR will never be able to breed. However, gelding your stallion will give you extra skill points for that particular horse.

loose artist's rules=

--artists will recieve one custom upon their appointment, and after that they have two options for future customs: they can either make themselves one rare custom every 100 CLRs they make, or they can make themselves one uncommon custom CLR for every 50 they make. Artists do not have a limit on their customs simply because they will be earning what they get. Please don't complain.
--must fill out the required form for the main post of each adopt/breeding/custom
--make markings on a single seperate layer
--make a line, shine, shade, and color layer for each tack item. (Do bridle/halter and reins, saddle, blanket, and other tack items on seperate layers from one another)
--Follow the form format for each CLR's main post
--No chimerics except for special ocassions (PM me first)
--CLRs never have brindle
--Post a colored-in drawing under the tackless ref of the CLR with the tack (if any)
--Do not delete any layers, just hide them by making the circle next to them empty instead of filled in
--Make custom tack comps at least 15 CLRs between each other and make them difficult comps! Custom tack should be earned c:
--Artists can adopt from other artists, but all of the adoption rules and limits still apply to them!
--Artists can only hold ___ adoption comps at a time.
