Did anyone own the old style Puppy in my Pocket animals from the 1990s?
Yes, I know, the same company made new style ones a few years ago, but that's not what I mean.
The old style were like this:
Ring a bell?
These guys are little figures made of a sort of rubber material. They were created in England in 1993, but released all around the world until 1997, where Topps bought M.E.G (the company that made Puppy in My Pocket) and turned the puppies into "Precious Puppies", which were similar to Puppy in my Pocket, but slightly different. Precious Puppies only lasted for a year. There was no more Puppy in my Pocket or Precious Puppies until about 2006 when M.E.G. released a different style of Puppy in my Pocket, which are about the same size as the old ones, but are made with fuzzy material.
^So that was a bit of the history. I really love the 90s Puppy in my Pocket animals, and study them a LOT! lololololololol
More info about 90s Puppy in my Pocket
Each puppy came with a fact card. The fact card included an illustration of the puppy, and rated the puppies alertness, huggability, and more on a scale of 1 to 10. You could get a single puppy in a pouch, containing a few candy dog bones, a fact card, and the puppy itself.
You could also get a few puppies in sets of about 5. Each set came with a collectafile. (Sort of a catalog of all the puppies)
There were also many other categories of In my Pocket pets. There was Kitty in my Pocket, Pony in my Pocket, and Surprise in my Pocket, all made by M.E.G in the 90s. But Puppy in my Pocket was the most popular of them all.
So did anyone have these? I have over 200 of Kitty, Puppy, Pony, and Surprise in my Pocket animals.
