Me and my cousin are in the process of getting three rabbits.
Currently we only have one, but we are expecting two more soon. A pregnant female we should have by Monday and a red male which should be ready in two weeks..
And I know the chances for the expecting moms litter surviving are slim since its her first, but what are the chances a few will survive?
I have very good luck with my first time moms.

When I first started in rabbits about 8 years ago, I always heard about losing first litters or what not... but really, I don't have any troubles. I bred 4 does that were all over 2 years old and had never had litters before. Well, they all had nice sized litters and the only ones that were lost were peanuts... but that is a genetic thing, so it has nothing to do with being a first timer. lol I think it really depends on how healthy mom is... her diet and all that.

I found a great brand of rabbit pellets for them. I was using another and couldn't get babies out of any of my does for a loooooooong time. A few months after the switch, they all were bred very successfully. lol
