I get out into the countryside horseriding quite often so see a selection of the local wildlife - foxes, hares, muntjac and chinese water deer, buzzards, badgers but the most unusual thing I've seen is a stoat - so shy that I've only ever seen this one, running down the bridlepath away from me.

Uhm...

Once, a bull moose ran right in front of my car.

A bear once tried to crash my party.

Whale-watching and having a big bull orca sound right by the boat

Having a pack of coyotes run alongside my car.

Getting dive bombed by a great gray owl.

Having a raccoon challenge my car to a duel.

Having a herd of elk cross in front of my car.

Seeing a hunting fox on a dirt road.

Having a deer within 30 feet of me.

Seeing cedar waxwings, red-winged blackbirds, and western tanagers
So, I am no longer really playing. I am sticking around to collect pets which I will exchange for art. Please only contact me about art or if you need some advice or a listening ear.

I see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, black cockatoos and eagles all the time but those are about it. My best sighting would probably have to be the whole bunch of bats I saw flying over my house.

My best sighting would probably have to be the ghost white mountian Lion that I came face to face with. I was walking in the woods to go over to the field my horses were in when something told me to turn to my left, when I did standing no more than a few steps away was this beautiful pure white mountian lion. I froze in my spot not sure of what to do at the time and we both just sat there staring at one another, neither one daring to look away until finally the big cat just blinked its eyes, turned around and dissapeared into the trees only for me to never see it again. It didn't show any hostility at all, in fact it looked at me with what I could have sworn was a glint of a smile to its eyes (weird I know) almost as if it was like a long lost relative who finally got to see me in a really long time. When I went to follow where it dissapeared to I couldn't find any tracks at all or a single clump of fur from the thorn bushes that I know it walked through. It was like it was there but not there.

I saw a couple coyotes in my backyard once. Also saw a fox in my grandma's neighborhood.
I've also seen indigo bunting, rainbow bunting, grassquit (which apparently are very rare where we saw one??) and scarlet tanagers.

Years and years ago I got to see buffalo when I was on Catalina Island for my birthday.

At some point a few years back I was on a walk, and as I sat down, a fox trotted past me with a magpie hanging from it's mouth.

One of the best parts of going for long drives where I am is that you see alpacas a lot. There used to be a couple of them where I lived, but I never got to pet one before they ended up moving.

I see a LOT of deer when I go walking, like if I go out before 9am, I see deer. At least one, sometimes more.

Nothing really exotic yet but who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky someday.

oo!

I live on the coast, in a woodsy area. It's not uncommon to see deer, hawks, falcons, and sometimes even foxes!

Although some of my best sightings happened at the ocean/beach.

I go deep-sea fishing once or twice a year, but this last time on the way back, there was a beautiful whale following the boat! It was super close, and you could feel the water from the spout! Definitely a majestic experience.

Another trip, I was reeling up my fish, and towards the very edge of the water a shark came up and ripped it off the hook! Never going to forget that, it was absolutely beautiful; even if it was a small shark. <3
