to this character designing contest.
this is to find a character, of course!

rules:
:: please make all of your entries 100% by you. no line arts or already made line arts by you. original art is best.
:: please follow all rules of Chicken Smoothie
:: we will decide together who the winners are. we may end up pming you about your character (if you do not win) if we really liked it as well.
:: if you do traditional art; please upload a good quality photo (scanned is great). if you do digital; transparent backgrounds are preferred.

guidelines:
:: species wanted is a lion.
:: gender preferred is more male than female, but either is acceptable.
:: design ideas
~ try to keep natural colors on the pelt/fur and mane if possible.
~ The design doesn't have to be natural (things like swirls, tribal designs, etc are okay!)
~ I like when things/designs glow!
~ If an element (fire, water, earth, air, or even ice if anyone would be willing) were incorporated = <3
~ accessories are definitely a plus; necklaces, bracelets, scarves, earrings, goggles/sunglasses, etc.
~ blue topaz is my favorite stone, so if you could incorporate that in someway, that'd boost it.
~ small battle scars are a plus.
~ i like the mane (if a male) and tail to be a tad poofier than normal.
~ i love the lion king - if that helps lol.
~ please, no scene/emo/goth type of accessories or colors.


Just some side info in case anyone is interested: I really like the simple, basic designs; nothing too complex. Some times even at a medium complexity works. I just don't like all the flashy, "lots of horns, super feathery wings, socks, bracelets, 3 necklaces, an earful of earrings, 3 different types of designs, and 15 different colors" types of designs. Not for me. x) (aka the "I've got lots" designs c:)
I'm trying to make a "clan" or group of four or five characters that are element based (fire, water, earth, wind, and maybe even ice if someone is up to it). So if anyone's willing to make element based... I'd love you forever<3

guess I have to be more specific x) When I say natural colors, I just mean colors c; you can put horns on it, headdresses, feathers, fancy face wear, or things like that. Don't be scared. Just don't over do it x)

~ First, I got to say, I absolutely LOVE the fire. It's amazing! <33 The wings add to the awesome factor. Also, I feel that the white under the chin and on the belly pop more with the red colors. Everything is magnificent! :3
2 ~ OuO it's.. it's.. whoa. I very much like the design. *-* The orange stands out so well against the brown. And the heart made of sapphire <3 too bad it isn't topaz ;D it's still lovely! I'd /like/ to see some earrings/accessories; but it's still great! <33

~ The colors blend so well it's eye catching <3 and the design is fantastic! The accessories are so gorgeous and so is are the blue tones! I love the sandy color of the mane (well it looks sandy on my computer) and the purple-ish (?) color of the paw pads and nose is so pretty! The front claws may be a bit long but that's alright, adds to the fierceness of it (:!

~ First off, I love the mane and tail. It's so... Fiery! ;) I absolutely love the design. It's spots are wonderful, the simple accessory with topaz, and the scar on it's back. I love the colors as well! <3 It's fantastic! agh, can't stop looking at the mane.. 8D

ChiCha and I are coming up with the rest of the placings and prizes; there will be at least the option of grand, first, and second (most likely third) & thank you :3
I've never considered that until now... Sure! o3o And most definitely! you can absolutely do more than one design!

Thanks for quick answering!! : D and i start to creating some desings now : ) (i was quite good with lions but didn't draw them in half a year or so ) so this is also nice practise to me : D

So here is my first entry : )) (the name is only there to add something to the picture : D )) looked so boring without it ( the background)

! I Can do color changing and add accessorys if there is somethign you want to add it etc.. !



So i wanted to make the TLK (the lion king) looking to it (since you loev the TLK) i caputerd it quite well but i tryed still to make it look my drawing style : ) also its Female ( but can be changed to Male too )

Also i tryed to keep it Realistic colouring those spots are just like what lion cubs have but Soran had them even she's adult : )

Soran is shorten name / nickname to her full name is Orange Savannah because her furr colouring is just like Savannah but she had orange brown spots and markings : )

the necklace of her is Blue topaz i take model to this picture to it:

those are rings but i wanted to make it to necklace : ) And her eyes are same colour than Blue topaz has very Sparkling


those are just my litle ideas for the character so you can remove them if you don't like them or want them in to her : )
