Yes I heard! I'm very excited for it, I also hope they add a lot of culture, it's my favourite part about Eurovision. I think the reason they couldn't name it Asiavision is because that's a tv network or something? Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I think its probably cause "Eurovision" is pretty much a brand name at this point, so it would be beneficial for them to keep benefiting from the same attention that eurovision currently has. No one would know what this "asivision" is so it would be much less popular at the beginning.

I watch Eurovision every year, but I'm never too hyped for it. :'D Unfortunately this year in Finland we aren't getting to choose the artist for Eurovision, only vote for one of her three songs. :(
