I haven't been on a raid in so long.

I can't walk on my own anymore, my medication makes me dizzy and I have chronic pains like everywhere. So if I go on a raid I have to go with someone and we have to drive to wherever it is so that I don't collapse or throw up on the sidewalk. All it takes is one fall before I go to the hospital. That's why hatching eggs is difficult for me too, because I can only walk in short spurts before I need to stop and sit.

But I still enjoy playing this game, I have always been a kid of the original games and I just beat Ultra Moon recently, and this is the best way for me to still get active even if it's for short periods at a time. Plus I love gifting people. My dad's house is right next to a stop, so I get a ton every weekend I go over to visit. I'm not seeing my parents today so I don't have any more though sadly. I gave my last gift to my boyfriend.

Did everyone have a good Zapdos day?

No shinies for our family but in 6 or 7 raids our group got i think 8 shinies? (The last raid 3 of 17 got one!)

these days annoy me so much you don’t even know. I could never participate in these. a level 5 raid is downright impossible. no one in my town plays Pokémon Go. when the hype was around 1 or 2 people helped with raids, but otherwise? nope. it’s one of the reasons I like field research tasks, actually!

my town stinks at coordinating.. on Articuno day, I stayed in town and people were supposed to meet up when it started but everyone was late and going "OMG wait for me!!" please. we had been discussing this for HOURS. 6 raids took over 1 hour when it should have taken only around 30 minutes. so this time I went to a town about an hour away where so many more people play.. we met at the park where a lot of people were meeting to play, asked a group of people if we could join them (since there were probably 12 groups of 8 to 10 people at the first gym in the park) and walked with them. that was so much smoother

if you have a facebook, I suggest looking for local groups on there and seeing if they have a discord or messenger group for raid organizing..

when raids first came out, in my town a couple guys started multi-accounting at 3 to 4 phones each so that we could actually take down the legendaries because just getting a group of 7 or 8 people was impossible.. we have plenty of people now they just suck and are selfish.. if they are nearby, they dont want to help out or they dont want to wait on people to join when a raid is found but they expect everyone to come running when they find a raid and post it.. the agreement is whoever posts it posts start time & thats the final say unless not enough people show up, but it doesnt work like that. also our messenger and discord groups hate each other so that makes things tough

i believe they mean shiny.

Actually, I think they’re talking about the newest update! Apparently there’s a special kind of Pokémon (I think called a lucky Pokémon?) that is visibly different from a normal one and takes less stardust to power up!

Unfortunately I haven’t gotten the chance to try to get one yet haha

Yes, got my first shiny Legendary. Finally!
1 fled, caught 8 others and 1 of those was a shiny - actually the very first Zapdos. XD
No really good IVs though, the best one has 87%
