But ya....I'm not totally out of the fandom but mostly....A lot of producers I rrly liked either don't post much or not at all anymore. My fav producer I believe has totally retired from Vocaloid as of Feb this year. With the lack of stuff I wanted to see I started to become less active. I still like Vocaloid and it's probably a big thing that got me into jp muic. I prefer to listen to producers that ended up getting a successful music career like Kenshi Yonezu(Hachi-P) more than their Vocaloid works.

yeah, i understand^^ though, i only follow a couple of producers and listen to millions of songs each day qwq
i haven't had any of the artists i follow that have retired/quit from working with vocaloid, so in that sense i can't really relate. plus, i'm not really sure about what vocaloid song is "new", as i generally just stumble upon it somehow.
i really hope you really get back into vocaloid someday though; it seems like you just haven't been able to find a producer you're really able to jam out to qwq

Idk there's just been a decline in vocaloid content to me since 2015/2014 onward. Also I've moved more into another fandom and it's kinda hard to juggle more than one XD

i think that there's a decline in vocaloid in general, tbh.... all the previous and more professional producers are all retiring/quitting q3q and the only two fandoms i've really only been interested in lately is vocaloid and black butler, but i can handle them pretty okay xDDD

I wouldn’t say there’s necessarily been a decline in producer quality, as such, but more a decline in what the fan base are taking note of and making popular. Yes, a number of P’s have left the scene, but there’s still fresh talent and ideas coming in.

I’d already made a start on a list of songs I like for each Vocaloid a while back, but it’s a little outdated now, so I might see if I can finish it up and share it here... But, for some interesting stuff I’ve listened to recently...

ah, that's very true as well^^ vocaloid had a big boom in 2008, but now it just seems like you hear it being mentioned somewhere, you get curious, and you look it up. not necessarily because there's ads or anything... but then again, it's not like they need to have ads, either. but despite the decrease in fans, i really hope that vocaloid stays successful. it's an amazing thing, really qwq

Mmmm, I wouldn't say it's dead, per se, just that it's quiet/slow because there's not really a lot to talk about. Last new VB announcement was a couple months ago, there's not really much on the horizon...
Could talk about new songs/albums, I guess, but there's ~so many~ it's hard to cover them all...
New manga/novel releases?
Mikagura School Suite is getting English releases for both, with the first having released just before the end of last year. They're both pretty much exactly the same, with the manga just having the usual difference of being illustrated, so you could go for either. Volumes 2 and 3 of the manga look set for this September and November, according to Amazon's listings.
Volume 1 of Future Delivery has released, and I've still not picked it up... Volume 2 is set for the end of the month.
Everyday VocaPara Volume 2 has released, and also not picked that up yet... Volumes 3 and 4 appear to be May and August.
Other than the Kagerou Daze manga slowly getting closer to wrapping up (but no English dates for Volume 11 of the manga and Volume 8 of the light novel yet).

For concerts/live events, MIKUEXPO USA kicks off in late June through July, Magical Mirai is August, and I think the last of IA's PARTY A GO-GO events is the 21st and 22nd April in Spain, then their (IA and ONE) next concert is the ARIA "Musical and Live Show" in June.

Voicebanks... Kizuna Akari is the next release, set for April 26th. None of Shanghai HENIAN nor Shanghai Wangcheng's VBs have got dates attached. aquatrax's Zing is supposedly "Spring 2018". IA English appears to now be on CeVIO, and also does not have a release date.

On other, more general, thoughts... My Amazon JP post arrived over the last couple months~ So I had ordered a couple bits from them, mostly for two albums that hadn't released at point of my order, but they still sent them out in two lots, so yay~ Anyway, I received the Vocaloid Fukase ~The Greatest Hits~ album (The LE version), hadn't planned on grabbing it, but Amazon briefly had it listed for about 500 yen, so I had to jump on it! Second part of my first parcel was UtataP’s ‘This is the waiting room near 2 √ 3 track of Happiness crossroad station’, which I ~needed~ as a UtataP fan~ And then my second parcel was the preorders, and that was Kurage-P's albums, わたしが人間になったら/I Became A Human (which arrived with a crack in the case, which really bummed me out, but at least I had a spare CD case I could swap it for) and Diary of Underage Observation (which I got the limited edition for, which comes with some neat comics based on the songs... And as I got it from Amazon JP, I got their mini remix CD preorder bonus)
