I found a little owl, just the other day
In an overcoat of feathers, and bright eyes painted gray.
Half-light unshackles a dusty street
Tea-stained and faded shapes
Where dusty shadows yawn offbeat
Here I have often traipsed.
I walk away, meander more;
A lilting tune, nature's decor.
Ashy gauze veils a sky
Winds chase their dreary forms
No trills or chirps or noise do fly
No lullaby for storms.
Fleecy puffs of white skip past
Bleating out the score
Specters claw from shadow casts
Nights stageplay has the floor.
Happy fall <3
