━━━━━━━━━━ Main Plot ━━━━━━━━━━

Tokyo is at constant war with itself. On one side is the human race, their army known as the CCG which fights against the other, darker side of Tokyo. Ghouls, people who can only survive off human flesh, are fighting against the CCG. Both sides fight for similar reasons: They hate each other for their needless killings, and wish to stop the war by causing the very thing. However, when it becomes known that a species exists that could either create peace, or cause Tokyo's ultimate destruction, it is up to either side to decide whether they value imprisonment more then death, whether this species, known as Half-Ghouls, are sane enough to see the truth and decide the fate of Tokyo.

(The story will be about a group known as 'CODE', which has not yet been formed but will be as the story progresses. More about their purpose will be revealed with the story)

━━━━━━━━━━ Roleplay ━━━━━━━━━━

The thread is based around the main plot idea of the manga, but doesn't follow the story of Kaneki or Anteiku. I don't want any of the original cast being acted out as I'd prefer all of the thread to be fan-based. If you are struggling on making a character just PM me and I'll try to help you to the best of my abilities
A quick note to make, you don't have to know the entire story of the manga/anime. You just need to know the basic idea of the plot.

Due to this being known as quite a graphic series, I'm gonna have to set a few rules :3
~ Follow all of Tess' rules
~ Remember to keep content child friendly: No graphic sex or killing scenes, thank you.
~ I hate, hate, hate Mary Sues. Believe me, there's nothing worse then a good roleplay being ruined by someone who wants to be invincible, so don't do it.
~ Please try to keep the roleplay in balance by having atleast one ghoul character and one CCG. If it is too hard, don't worry, but I don't want there to be 30 ghouls for every one CCG.
~ Don't kill others characters without permission
~ Please use this thread to discuss any plot ideas before we use them, it may be that your idea doesn't fit or ruins the plot.
~ All characters must have at least 2 weaknesses.
~ I wish for there not to be too many half-ghouls, so I'm limiting it to 3 for now (Excluding Skye)

Mask: A masqerade mask with the theme of fire, being a mixture of different ambers. The edges are lined with gold and can be used as a weapon if necessary due to the sharpened edges.

History: Was born in England and went on holiday with her mother to Japan. She visited many different sights, but on her tour of Tokyo their car crashed due to them swerving to avoid a man standing in the middle of the road, who ended up hit and killed. Her mother didn't survive, Skye being dragged out by an observer. Skye was badly injured, almost dead, but was fixed by the observer who had also taken the dead man and transplanted his organs into her. God knows how she survived, a thirteen year old with the organs of an adult, but she did. The bad news was that the man who died was a ghoul, and that Skye had ended up a half-ghoul. The good-ish news was that her rescuer was also a ghoul. She was forced into a life of hiding, her protector giving her knowledge and trying his hardest to make her life as normal as possible. Skye, being hidden from the outside world, became fascinated with computing and in return for her protection, she learned to gather information to protect him in return. It didn't last though: Her protector was quickly killed when she became 15. She had watched every second of it, and knew the killer was an investigator. A CCG member. Her story starts from just after her protector was killed, with her running away from the building she had lived in for the past two years.
Personality: Her social skills aren't the best, so she is partly shy when it comes to talking with people. She can be kind and caring, and no matter what she is loyal. She hasn't killed yet, however, but once she does she will begin to become more and more reclusive and bitter with self-hatred. She will fight for what she believes in, no matter what.
Strengths: Computing skills, knowledge, loyalty
Weaknesses: Feels pain for others easily, weak in physical strength (for now).

Lots of people come to ask Korin for advice because of his approachable nature, but there is a reason he was promoted to first-class so young; in the field, Korin is deadly and can take down S-ranked ghouls by himself on a good day.
History;; Raised by a single father who left him to fend for himself most of the time, Korin was alone for almost all of highschool. He still has nightmares about the ghoul that gave him the scars on his neck; he was walking home from school when a ghoul attacked him and toyed with him for almost an hour, bringing him near death several times but never quite dealing the finishing blow. Korin was eventually rescued by a passing investigator and spent over two months in the hospital recovering. It was during this time that he decided to become an investigator, to seek justice for others like himself who had been victimized by ghouls.

History: After growing up very shy because of his half-ghoul origins Hajime's encounter with a full-ghoul made him realise that he could live his dream even with what he was. So from that day he trained and entered contests all over the country before he became the not-so-popular rock star he is now. He hasn't been affected by the CCG investigators as he never really has the time to socialise outside of work, apart from the few hours in between concerts.
Personality: Hajime is a very stubborn male, can sometimes be seen as emotionless and has the habit of yelling at people when he isn't happy with them. He is hardly ever happy and you'll never see him smile truthfully, the only time he smiles being on stage when he is singing and even that is a fake one.
Strengths: His leader-type personality helps him to stop stupid battles between his fellow ghouls.
Weaknesses: He has trouble keeping his secret hidden with how popular he is as probably one of the youngest rock stars. He is well known because of his job so he is an easy target.

History: Saki used to be a normal civilian but after having witnessed a ghoul attack she joined the CCG investigators to stop future attacks that would cause more damage. She was determined to keep her job as a waitress in a maid cafe but was demoted to a part-time worker instead of a full-time worker.
Personality: Saki is cheerful most of the time but when it comes to being face to face with danger (aka, Ghouls) she is terrified of what might be the outcome. When she isn't doing her job at the CCG she is happily working at an old maid cafe.
Strengths: Keeps happiness running through groups she works with.
Weaknesses: She is cowardly and gets scared easily, because of this she sometimes questions why she was allowed to join the investigators.
