And yet, sometimes we have to open our eyes first. Seeing is believing after all.

Humans live by natural rules. Rules that they know are always true and cannot be contradicted. But, is seeing believing? Is believing really only seeing? Some dare challenge the natural rule of sight and belief and are lucky enough to find things they never thought could be true, other however refuse and never find out what could have been.

You are just a teen, an average kid around seventeen to eighteen years old. Life is ahead of you and worries are behind you. All you want to do is finish your Senior year and get school over with, for good.

First day of Senior year, life is normal nothing is new. You meet with friends, exchange stories about Summer Vacation, have a few laughs and restart your normal school roll all over again. But, since the beginning something has been bugging you. It nags the back of your mind.What could it possibly be? From the corner of your eye you spot a group of students, average teens like you and your friends, you have actually seen them throughout the years. It's a mix of boys and girls talking and laughing just like you, yet you can't shake that strange feeling off. This time you begin to notice different things about them. The males are tall and strong, quite handsome as well. The females are slim and pretty and yet they look like one punch could throw someone head over heels. Why are you barely noticing this now?

Those people you saw are nothing more than two in one, werewolves. They live their lives like you and me, they go to school, have families, they have problems and fun as well. The only difference is, their family is a pack, they hunt and live together, oh and they can change from a wolf to a regular human. A very special human. As a human the werewolf, we'll just call them wolves for now, still have their great senses, speed and beauty. Their violent nature can suddenly errupt as well if they don't know how to contain it, as well as their loving social side. Beware, try not to fall in love with one of these dangerous creatures.

It's the first day of Senior Year, and you're excited because it's your last year in this horrible school, in this small town where nothing, nothing ever happens. The town is a small one called Thunder Ridge in the northern part of California, so far north in fact it's almost considered part of Oregon. Thunder Ridge is not large, but not to small around 500 acres of land. But the houses and town are all clumped together while all around there is nothing but green forests and wildlife.

Well you have never found Thunder Ridge exciting, the major news is always about the big cities. You're tired and bored of it all. You want excitement and exhilaration. You want to live life to the fullest and the only way you can do that is by leaving this so called town. But is leaving the way to your excitement? On the first day of school you notice a few students, those weird ones that stay away and when approached answer curtly and leave. This time though, they seem different, with a strange aura surrounding them. You don't know what it is but you want to know why it is all of a sudden that these people interest you. You start following one around, you think they don't notice, not until you turn the corner and they are waiting for you. The person isn't too happy but one look into each others eyes and something sparks. Could it be just friends or more? Both of you begin to hang out, start to talk your worries about them disappear, for a while at least. They seem to act the same and do the same as you, so how can they be different?

You both start to hang out together more and more and pretty soon it is obvious that you both have feelings for each other. Him/Her for you and you for him/her. You, start to ask questions, they give answers, sometimes. Will you become suspicious and want to know what they truly are? Or stay quiet from then on? Will they even tell you the truth, or keep you in the dark forever?

You are an average pack member. You're okay with life, everything is the same as the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that. Nothing really changes. Your pack is safe, rival packs have not been heard of. You can all relax. Not really. You are young want to explore and break a few rules. Why should you always be listening to those pack elders anyway? They are old and have no idea what it is like to live in this century. So you go to school, first day same schedule. Hooray... But as you go in, you see someone eyeing you, and it makes you feel slightly uncomfortable so you leave. A few days later you notice them following you, though you make sure not to make a fuss about it. Well until its just so annoying you can't stand it. Feeling slightly evil you turn a quick corner and wait for them to appear, they don't disappoint. This person rounds the corner and in an angered way you step up to them, about to ask them what the heck is wrong with them until... you look deeply into their frightened eyes. Your anger melts and you simply smile. A few more days later, you start talking and hanging with them sharing a bit, not too much about yourself.

But you, as a pack member should know the rules. There is to never, ever be any prolonged contact with a human. You put in danger what you are, what your pack is and worst of all you put your very love in danger. Rival packs are nearing, are you willing to sacrifice them? Will you ever tell them? Or will you simply leave them to wonder? Or worse for both, will you obey the pack rules and leave them forever?

If you choose the path to stay with them, keep them safe, keep them happy with your answers. Make sure they do not follow you home. And be especially aware of your anger, you don't want to hurt anyone, do you?

Life in Thunder Ridge continues normally, as the school year begins once more, in the month of August. The leaves are slowly changing color, the temperatures are becoming cooler. Everyone is getting ready for the winter ahead, all bundled up and warm. Life goes on for both humans and wolves. But the wolves aren't getting ready for winter in its totality, they can't. Their 'normal' lives are for protecting the small town of Thunder Ridge and it's secret. Humans don't know about it, they pass it every day without noticing but the wolves know and so do the other deadly creatures that roam in the night. Do not fret, as long as you are at home at night, you will be safe and as long as the wolves keep protecting and doing their job the civilians will be safe. But other creatures are getting stronger, are the citizens of Thunder Ridge really safe? Or will they see what their town is really made of?

Creatures like the Wendigo, Rougarou, Kappa, Vampire, Arachne, Cracotta, Ghoul, Hellhounds and other creatures stalk the streets of Thunder Ridge at night. So far the wolves have been able to protect everyone, but for how long?

Lucky for all you humans out there, there aren't many rules. But let's make a few to make it fair.

(Totally Breakable)

1. No staying out with anyone after 9 pm.
2. No skipping school
3. Never, ever enter the forest

Simple for humans to follow.

Sadly for our wolf friends, the pack has strict rules and specific consequences.

1. Contact with humans, prolonged contact, will result in a strict warning.
2. Dating a human, completely prohibited, will result in being watched whether you know it or not. (If you're caught)
3. Break the rule above, You shall never leave pack grounds without an escort again. (Again, if you're caught)
4. Pack above anything else.
5. You must listen to the alpha, no questions asked
6. Duties must be done, daily.
7. The pack must know your whereabouts at all times

5. Even in writers block I do not want this, "He sat down and looked at her." Make at least three sentences, please.
6. Correct grammar and punctuation, please. And no text talk! Like none!

8. Keep romance to an acceptable level and if it reaches a point as far as you know what, though I would rather you skip, fade to black or time skip.

Name: My name is Katherine Alaina Lee, that is my full legal name. I must admit, however, I'm not a big fan of just any people calling me Alaina, or Katherine so feel free to call me Kathy, Katie and if we are good friends I won't mind Alaina, and by friends I mean really good friends or pack mates. My name came from my great grandmother, who never had a daughter to call Katherine and well she was supposedly such a great leader, I was middle named after her.In the pack I am known as Alaina, yeah I use that name instead. I like it better, it's different and a bit unheard of, makes me feel unique and rather good to be named after her.

Human or more?: Oh well you sure are curious aren't you? Well I will tell you, I guess. I am a werewolf, believe it or not. Yeah you know, that creature that turns into a large wolf every full moon, or really whenever we want. It's pretty cool, trust me. I mean I'm already faster, stronger, and have way better senses than any regular human. Yeah it doesn't matter that I'm small, don't mess with me and you won't meet my wrath, you mortal. Lol I kid!

So it's like I'm the princess, ew I can't even say that without making myself shiver. No, I'm just the alpha's daughter, the pack is mine to command after my parents have passed. But don't worry! I'm not in charge yet, for now I'm just like any other member.
Description: Well since you obviously can't get your own description by simply looking at me, I guess I will have to tell you. Okay, hmm... Let me start from the top. My face, my face is on the round side with fuller rosy colored cheeks. My straight hair cascades over my shoulders up to my shoulder blade, in a dark black current of hair. Below my straight, always to the side bangs, I have two eyes. Yeah two! I know right, how rare is that? My eyes are a bit of a dark brown, and they are quite large. I have a short plump nose set

atop my full lips. I'm rather short, not making it over 5'4. I have light colored skin, which has tanned only slightly but not so much you wouldn't know I'm a naturally pale person. I have small hands and feet but that's okay, I'm quite nimble with my hands and quick on my feet. I am not fat, nor too thin. I may look slightly weak, but friend, trust me don't mess with me or the tooth fairy will be paying you a visit tonight.
Wolf Form: As a wolf, I'm the average size for a wolf because of my small human size while everyone is huge. But don't get me wrong, I'm fast and lean. With long curved fangs that glint in the light of the moon. My pelt starts as a dark grey, and slowly becomes a dark brown before stopping at a while belly and legs underneath. My wolf form has short

rounded ears and a longer snout and tail than most. The tail is quite bushy and warm and soft, like the rest of my fur when I decide to become a wolf. Yeah, I can become a wolf where I want, when I want because I want to do it. Except in public...
Age: Simple and easy, and because I forgot heehee, I'm 18 big whoop.

That was simple and easy right? Good, because it was obvious from the start.

Personality:Well see this is actually a bit harder to answer, because well I wish I was a totally good person... but I'm not. Starting on first impressions, I tend to be a really quiet person who doesn't share her opinion much. I fear people will think I'm boasting or such, so I keep to myself. My quiet nature allows me to observe things with more reason and such. It allows me to make important decisions which I admit I can and can't be good at. I like to think things through other than rushing to them, and once my decision is made, I never ever go back on my word unless I have to and the other option is better. I want to be the best I can be and not top anyone so I'm not very competitive unless it's friendly and we can all get along. I wish not to ever put someone in danger because of my decisions and if I ever were to, I would be very sorry and probably go even more quiet than before. As you get to know me, if you were to try and break through the cocoon I have made around me you'd see a funnier kinder person who likes to talk.

I enjoy jokes and to laugh. I have laughed so much at times people call me "giggles" don't call me that. Seriously. Anyway! I don;t tend to be very touchy on first impressions, sure I will give a hug but more than that, beware. I don't take kindly to big flirts or bullies. I'll give you a piece of my mind then, whether you know me or not. I do get mad, it's not easy to anger me but if I do get mad, my face will turn very red and I tend to simply storm away. I don't like conflict, too much but I do admit it's sometimes enjoyable. Getting to know me even more would mean that you would find a very supportive and rather clam person who likes to listen but hates to be told what to do. You'd find a delicate girl, who sometimes just needs soft words and a hug other than other things. In the pack I'm strong and do my job as I should yet when I can get loose and go out into the forest alone or with a friend I can be calm and

Likes: Let's see I like to... Go out at night into the forest and just run. I love the cool wind that blows through my fur, and the damp earth beneath my paws. I enjoy spending time with my family and pack, and I love simple things. The soft clouds in the sky, the crunchy leaves that fall to the ground. I love storms and the rain, and a simple word once in a while. I love jokes and hanging out without much to do.
Dislikes: I dislike chores and bullies as well as obnoxious flirts who think they can get any girl they set their eyes on. I also dislike big fights and arguments with loved ones, I hate crying and becoming mad. Not to brag but I think I'm pretty well built especially for a guy who is around 6'1 and weighs around 170 pounds. I have built up on all the sports and hiking and swimming. So yes, I am a pretty strong. I like to workout, gives an escape to all of my energy. My voice... well I have a deep rolling voice, rather soothing and strange at the same time. I'm able to throw my voice around and make a few voices up as well except for the high squeaky ones I can't do those at all. Apart from my voice, I have large strong hands and big old bear feet. Personality: Well I guess this... this is important. It's what will decide whether we will be enemies, friends or worse... related. That made no sense, oh well. Anyway as you may have noticed I am nit exactly... shy. I will go up to anyone and everyone, tell them exactly what I'm thinking. Most of the time, I still do think things through, I'm not stupid enough to just blurt it all out without thinking about it for even a second. I do admit all of my jokes are funny, always. I love jokes and random chatter but i do enjoy those deeper more serious conversations. But here's the thing... I can be really silly even in times where seriousness is needed, but trust me I can be serious. I can have long serious talks with a few good jokes in them. Likes: Oh I like these, let me think. I like sports, like football, soccer, volleyball, swimming, hiking, running any sport really. I enjoy walking and peace as well, and I can enjoy the calm, cool, peaceful nights of the city in which the moon lights up the street in a bright white light. I love nature and learning and jokes and all that manly stuff like cars and speed.
Dislikes: My dislikes, well I don't like being late and I hate being kept in the dark, yeah I do like secrets. I hate myself for moving so much and not even being able to sit still for five minutes.
