Personality: James is a strong and resourceful individual. He is the type to coolly and silently assess a situation to look for solutions with logic. He is a kind individual, and honour is deeply ingrained into him. He wouldn't allow someone to suffer without offering assistance, and he cannot refuse a woman who needs help. He is secretly afraid of the mermaids, though he tries to hide it behind a tough façade. He is also afraid of being utterly alone, since he was abandoned and scorned by his father at a young age. He may seem to want to be alone, but he craves companionship yet is afraid of opening himself up completely to someone.
History: He is the son of a sea pirate and the innocent maiden swooned by piracy. His mother named him after his father, but kept the information from her son about his father. Clues emerging about his father having been a hunter as well as a pirate encouraged James to join the hunter program and complete his training. He hopes to graduate and find his father, and impress him.
