It is against the rules to buy/sell pets for real money

Kajoken, I see your point. But it is never sure if you really get the pets you paid for/ if you get the money for the pets you gave away. This way is just much safer at all, especially because here are also little kids on this site.
And RL money is a bit different from off-site trades to be honest. You won't get in trouble because you didn't get the pixels you wanted but it could be a big problem of you paid money for nothing.

Thank you nick ^^ I was starting to get sick of people charging tons of money for July and August '08s, zebras, URs, etc. Some people were even charging more than three months of allowance[for me, at least] for them, it was getting to be insane.

Ooh finally! That selling CS pets for real money is annoying! I'll see someone selling pets that I really really want for my Dream Pet center and i'll say, "What website is it for?" and then they'll say, "NO websites! It's for REAL money!" And then I'll be really disappointed because they usually have all the dream pets on the list I got from all the peeps that asked...

I can say I'm both happy and upset with this new rule. Glad because it is starting to get out of hand, I really wish only a few people had stuck to doing it. And upset because I'm in a really tight financial fix, and I actually made the money selling rares here to pay my phone bill this month. Sadly I have a ton more bills to pay, but I stand no chance at getting a job if I don't have a way to be contacted but yeah, my problems right now aren't the point. I really wish this had been kept small enough that Nick didn't feel the need to make a rule about it.

I'm the same as Muse...I didn't even think the selling pets was that popular since nobody would want to buy a CS design they could get for free and that wouldn't *benefit* CS, but I'd been offered $50 for my zebras awhile back and I'm as broke as can be and the thought of selling one or two had crossed my mind so I could like...buy food In the end this doesn't affect me since I don't have PayPal anywho and to sell a pet would be one heck of a hoop-jumping experience, but I do have to ask this...

What's the difference between trading pets for real money and trading pets for CWP? I don't play Wajas, so I really don't understand on this one but...is there a difference? I'm just curious now, cause I'd always thought of CWP trades as like, "real-money-changed-over-to-internet-stuff" trades lol It's the same with C$ Store items, but the chances of having someone steal your C$ stuff is smaller since you can refuse to do the trade until both sides have what they want, visible on the trade. But with CWP....are you not in just as much trouble if you trade the CW on Wajas and never get the pet on CS? Or heck, if you're offereing a July 08 or a UR, if you trade the pet and never get the CWP? Cause that would *stink*, to lose a pet of that caliber on a mussed up trade

Thanks for putting this rule in, guys. There's no real way of being protected on this matter, and I know nobody wants to be taken advantage of... It would be really sad if you paid $20 for a galaxy, only to realize that they'd never give it to you...

The thing about CWP/GP/-insert some other website currency-, is if the transaction goes bad, you can report the person on either game. But on many games, especially private or application ones, they are all or mostly all mature people who will go through with the transactions.
