I'm trying to find new music to listen to.

What are some of your favorite bands, songs, music genres, etc.?

My favorite bands are Beatles, Imagine Dragons, Talking Heads, Man Man and Gorillaz

Well if you like the Beatles you HAVE to listen to the Beach Boys too! Check out their album called Pet Sounds, it was actually the inspiration behind the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album.

I'll recommend Tom Petty/Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to anyone, they're my favorite group. Personally my favorite album of Tom's solo career is Wildflowers, so you should check that out for sure! As for TPATH, check out Damn The Torpedoes! Or Southern Accents, that's a great record too if you like 80s music.

Since you like Talking Heads, I'd suggest listening to Blondie! Autoamerican is a GREAT record and you should totally give it a listen! You might like Joy Division also if you're into darker music. Unknown Pleasures and Closer are their only two studio albums, unfortunately.

I personallly like alternative, rock, and jazzy rock. That being said, I HIGHLY recommend Wild Adriatic (each album has a different sound to it, very good), Rex Orange County, and Catfish and the Bottlemen!!

I'd reccommend Marianas Trench, one of my ultimate favourite bands.
They're a very quirky pop punk rock band, and definitely worth a listen. It's interesting because each album plays out like a story, and the songs all have quite the unique relation to eachother.

Seconded! Marianas Trench are pretty lit. They have a very addictive sound.

Their whole new album is on mental health and stuff, which I think is so cool in a band.

My favorite band is by FAR Owl City (okay, sorry- MUSIC PROJECT, since it's only one person XD)! Adam Young's (the artist who basically IS Owl City) songs are honestly so gorgeous, imaginative, magical, and they're very uplifting as well, which many people, like me, appreciate! I highly recommend any song by Owl City.
