rereading "Finding Zasha" by Randi Barrow, which takes place during world war II with nazis, mainly centered around a young kid and a couple german shepherds. but its made for middle schoolers so its not very gruesome.

also "Tell Me Where It Hurts: A Day of Humor, Healing, and Hope in My Life as an Animal Surgeon" since i aspire to be a veterinarian ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

This story takes place in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico from January 8th to Wednesday, March 29, its about a female newspaper writer, her friend was kidnapped along with hundreds of other girls, she has been writing about them since her friend disappeared, following clues and hints to where the missing girls could be, ever since she's started, she's been receiving the threat emails by refuses to give up until she finds and safely recovers the kidnapped girls.
