What Characters Do You Dislike?

SO, in the 4th book of the fablehaven series, theres this dude named gavin. hes absolutely ADORABLE. in the book, he's described as attractive, & in later adventures, hes revealed to be REAAAAAALLLYYY strong, which just makes you love him even more tbh

but then freaking brandon mull decided to throw in a plot twist near the end, wHERE GAVIN ENDS UP NOT EVEN BEING REAL. HE WAS MADE UP & WAS APPARENTLY ONE THE MOST EVIL DEMONS IN THE SERIES AKA NAVAROG THE STUPID

i just...... i loved gavin sm. i thought him & kendra were going to be a thing back when i first read the 4th book, but it turns out he wasnt even real to begin with. just a demonic dragon with a made-up identity. i suddenly HATE navarog & especially the sphinx, who set the whole act up uuughhhh

I'm normally fairly chill about disliking characters, but... I detest Wickham from Pride and Prejudice with a PASSION. It's not exactly unpopular since he's supposed to be an antagonist (plus the Lizzie Bennet Diaries version of him really made him terrible), but something about his personality is just... NO. JUST NO. When I got to the part where he appeared, I literally had to stop reading the book for a bit because I didn't want to read about Elizabeth forming a bond with Wickham. I hate his personality so much, and the fact that he (almost) got away with manipulating so many people is just... uuuuuuuuugh. As a character, I don't mind him, but as a person he's terrible.

*slams hand on table* Now I have to add Aarfy from Catch-22 and Humbert from Lolita onto this list because wowie I sure hate them a lot- I'm not gonna describe what they did in explicit detail since most of what they did isn't CS-appropriate, but basically Aarfy's a karma houdini who seemed innocent at first and then turned into trash in one chapter, while Humbert is just literal trash who deserves no sympathy whatsoever.

Star Wars does a really good job of establishing likable character and villains that you love to hate, but Mace Windu drives me up the wall

He isn't written to be a villain, so he shouldn't be inherently unlikable. An I will concede that he is supposed to be part of the catalyst to thrusts Anakin to the dark side, he shouldn't be this thoroughly annoying

He's smug and arrogant and constantly talking down to other characters. He always assumes he's right about everything and refuses to see another point of view. There's a story in the Clone Wars comics, where he goes to talk to rogue Jedi refusing to serve as General in the Grand Army of the Republic, and he treats them like their stupid and doesn't respect the reasoning behind their (justified) decision, even though their decision is perfectly in line with Jedi beliefs. Moreover, there's an episode of The Clone Wars where he's on a diplomatic mission with Jar Jar and refuses to listen to Jar Jar even though Jar Jar had a good idea for once, simply because Mace in and Jedi and Jar Jar isn't.

He lectures about the Jedi code, yet he constantly breaks it with his arrogance.

I just really don't like him. I understand he's written to showcase the flaws of the Jedi, specifically their complacency that allowed Sidious to rise to power, but he's also just a jerk.

Honestly, the best part of the Prequels was when he fell out the window. :)

jayfeather was fine when he was a kit, I could slightly relate to him. But he had NO RIGHT to be rude to everyone around him. when he got older, he decided that because he was in a prophecy he can yell and snap at anyone he likes because 'hes special.' In the new series, he got WORSE. he yells at twigkit multiple times just for being in the den. d00d you did the exact same thing and now YOu get to do the same thing ??? your logic upsets me.

that's just the surface, I could go on and on and on. instead of watching me rant, look it up on yt and find out more.

I just, can't believe I used to like him so much. I was one of those people saying he has a soft side, when he barely ever shows any soft side even to his siblings.
