Alternative to Photobucket that's compatible with growables?

Postby Disgustedorite » Fri Oct 20, 2017 8:19 am

All tutorials on growable adoptables say to use Photobucket. However, as we all know, you now have to pay hundreds of dollars to do that--and most people interested in CS-like growing adoptables don't have that kind of money.

Obviously, that means just using another image hosting site, right? Well, it isn't that simple. All the big ones generate a different url for every image you upload and don't allow you to do something as simple as replacing one image with another. Photobucket was literally the only one.

Does anyone know of any alternative at all?

Given that nobody responded, I just went and made my very own website for the exact purpose of storing growable adoptable images. Thanks for all the help, guys!

You could store it on imgur. You're able to create albums as well to separate the images to your liking.

Yeah except I can't replace an old image with a new one and I instead have to send someone the new link, which destroys the whole point of growables ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Which also doesn't let you replace an old image with a new one. Again, destroys the entire point of growables ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why don't you just manually change the image url of the growables?
(or use mysidia instead for your pet site)

https://cubeupload.com/

This lets you replace images after you change it in your settings (you have to register). Downside is that it doesn't have any folder structures, so everything is in one place and can become very cluttered once you have many adopts. But at least it lets you replace them.

Also, they don't care about bandwidth, so you won't have to worry about many people viewing your images ;)

Because if I manually change it they have to copy it again and it doesn't grow for them automatically which is the entire point of growables

for example, you don't have to copy your chicken smoothie pet's code again later when it grows up

Thanks for the option, but I like to use folders to store different things so I'll stick to my method.
