Do you think that re-released pets are worth less?

I personally think there is no difference in value at all. I may have OCD about where the pet sits in comparison to others, but that's a very small issue for me. ^^;

Same as above! ...except I have slightly worse time dealing w/ my OCD if they don't sit properly in a pack. I actually plan on trading some pets {most are common or uncommon} for the same pet, but hopefully closer to when I adopted them or the like depending on the order I want them XD

But wait, wouldn't a 18th re-release actually be RARER than the 08 version? If only a few were given out by chance on re-release days compared with when they were originally released...
Is there a way to find the original to re-release ratio?

I agree about the same pet same rarity thing but me I wouldnt care unless its like a dog tag or sun jewel cause I want them in the back with my most favorites

Two of those rats in your signature are re-released pets; If there was no second change at adopting old pets, you wouldn't have them.

A -lot- of those people quit a long time ago and the pets are on dead accounts. I don't think that in any way makes them great, just makes all those older pets lost.

Having more pets in circulation as the population grows here is better; creates less frustration in the collectors because it is feasible to get every pet in the game, and also helps for newer people who love the style of the older pets, because it makes them more accessible, even if they're still not necessarily 'easy' to get.

In the end to me, a sun dog is a sun dog, a moon dog is a moon dog, regardless of when it was 'born'.

I don't think re-released pets are worth less. Actually, I think what really counts is the "story" behind the pets. For example, my dog-tag moon that I miraculously got from the Pound, to me, is worth more than a July 08 dogtag of the same rarity.

I actually like the "fresh" dogs, if that makes sense. I love to watch the puppies grow: they grow on me.
