I have no idea where to post this, sorry. I chose this topic because we often talk about the prices of entire item sets here.

Can someone help me reconcile or differentiate the real life situation of buying stuff in bulk for a lower price-per-unit with the commonly accepted CS situation of paying extra on top of the raw price for full sets (e.g. items) or bulk (e.g. hoard pets)? There's something I'm missing but I don't know what.

If you buy the set at once/complete it takes less effort to find missing pieces.
And dont forget demand.
People prefer complete sets over incomplete ones.
Like store pets: people often dont trade singles, only a complete set.
