French/English: Can someone check my prompt?

Bonjour! I've been studying french for two years now, but I was wondering if someone might be willing to help check out a homework prompt I had to write. Currently, we're studying the imparfait tense. I had to write a prompt using a mix of different verbs in the imparfait about a character's childhood. I tried my best to look through an conjugate everything correctly, but It's always good to get a second opinion. (there's probably going to be a handful of mistakes knowing me)

L'enfance de Mai


Quand Mai était jeune, elle était trés énérgetic. Elle aventurait avec son ami, Totoro. Ils reigolaient dans les bois. Sa mére était en manvais santé. Mais, sa soeur Satsuki, jouait avec Mai. Mai aidait sa grand-mére. Elle faisait une promenade avec sa soeur. Quelquefois, Mai allait à l'école avec Satsuki. Elle attendait pour son pére a 6h. Mai prendait des fleur et donnait les fleur au pere. Elle mangait le petit dejeuner avec sa famille. Chaque jour, Mai cherchait Totoro. Mai adorait sa famille!

I'm not too good at French either, but a good website that can help your French is "Bon Patron" You type in you French sentence, and it tells you what is incorrect, then gives you suggestions for it! Ils sont très bon!

I have taken French for five years, and it seems pretty good to me.

There are only two issues that I really noticed. First, "mangait" should be "mangeait." Secondly, you should use both a mix of passé composé and imparfait. Imparfait is for general things in the past. Passé composé should be used for specific events that only happened once. Therefore, "Elle attendait pour son pére a 6h" should be "Elle a attendu pour son pére a 6h" because she only did it once, she didn't do it everyday. I hope I was helpful!
