    Hello and welcome!

Since English has around 508 million speakers and has a lot of countries to make it it's official language, you might be interested in learning English. This thread is for both native English speakers and non-native English speakers.

We hope we'll make your experience with English easier!

    The basics of English
A lot of people struggle with some things in English, no matter if you're a native or not. Just know, we all experience these things.

Spelling: English is a little stupid when it comes to spelling. Not every word is spelled like it's written (I mean, every language has this). Like 'through' and 'thought', 'dessert' and 'desert', or 'cough' and 'rough' have almost identical spelling, but are pronounced totally different.
Grammar: English doesn't use endings on words like other languages do, like Latin for an example that clearly tells you which word is feminine and or the subject of the sentence. English solely is based on word order (subject-verb-object). English lacks grammatical gender and adjectival agreement. To addition to that all, English also lacks cases, but are mostly used in pronouns still: 'me', 'mine', 'my'.
Rules: They're are a ton of rules in English that native English speakers don't even notice. An example would be 'i' after 'e' except after 'c'. Many of these rules have ton of exceptions for them.
Origins: Most of English comes from Germanic, Latin, and French roots. So if you're familiar with any of those languages, it helps.

    Rules

    - ❀ Do not give false advice about the language, do your research.
    - ❀ Do not try to make other languages seem harder or anything. This is focusing on helping people learn.
    - ❀ Please be honest when filling out applications for teaching English since you have to be 13+.
    - ❀ Do not make fun of other people's levels. This includes bragging about your English.
    - ❀ Of course no spamming or anything.
    - ❀ Finally, have fun learning! :)

    English Levels

[if you are entirely NOT familiar with the language, it would be recommended that you take an online program]

1A - Starting out (no knowledge)
2B - Beginner (knows some common phrases)
2A - Familiar (knows base grammar, may be learning English in school)
3B - Converser (can hold a small conversation)
3A - Intermediate (can hold a proper conversation)
4B - Advanced (a native/can write at least write small paragraphs)
4A - Fluent (native/can write large paragraphs, papers, etc)

    Teaching/Learning English

    - If your first language is not English and there is someone teaching English and knows your first language fluently, you can request being taught by your native language.
    - Spelling and pronouncing (if the teacher explains how to pronounce it) depends on the country that your teacher is from/learned it from. You can always switch to which dialect you prefer.

First language: English
Languages you are fluent in: Spanish (almost)
Are you willing to teach in your first language/other fluent language: I do not mind, although speaking in English would improve the students capability of the language.
Semi-fluent to fluent: I am almost semi fluent in Spanish (as no one can learn everything of a language, as it has been said, even native people can have the possibility of messing up with their language), although there are other languages I am learning (South Korean, Japanese) but non are fluent or even close to semi fluent.
English specialty: I would be happy to teach spelling and pronunciation, but I am open to helping out with basic grammar (I have been know to mess up in tests big time because of my grammar, but I continue on forth :P).
Level you would prefer teaching: 2B to possibly 3B, but I do not mind helping out with 3A+ as a go over (if that made any sense).
How active are you: I try to be on at least everyday, but I am still at school so my mind is on revision and all of that (but I have been on everyday with no failing yet).
What days can you teach on: An English Tuesday (I apologize for the weirdness of that, I mean a Tuesday, in the English time zone)
Time zone: (please say like GMT-3 or GMT+4)... I am a little unsure of what you mean through this question, I apologize.
You know: British English

Apologies for anything that had rambled, I just like to try and be as helpful as possible (although if anything is un-needed, just ignore it, please).
