I haven't been speaking it long enough to write a better sentence. I've been taking classes in Spanish for about nine months now. I plan on taking it to the highest level possible and then learning it on my own after. My goal in life is to actually live in a Spanish-speaking country like Spain!
Quick question:
How would you say "I don't like to play sports but I like to swim?" I have "No me gusta practicar deportes _ me gusta nadar." I'm missing the 'but' but I don't know how do say it.

the word for but is pero.
but you have to make sure you spell it correctly and note that you spell it with only one r.
Otherwise your sentence would look like this:
No me gusta practicar deportes perro me gusta nadar which means I do not like to practice sports dog i like to swim (perro means dog).
What you should put is this:
No me gusta practicar deportes pero me gusta nadar which then means I do not like to practice sports but i like to swim.
