Ahh, don't worry, I think most people are a bit shy when joining a new community. CS can seem pretty big at first, and sometimes it's easiest to take a while to have a look around^^ I remember the last time I decided to join the forums on another site, I was so nervous that I almost decided to give up before posting my intro, oops :') So that already makes you braver than me!
I'm sure you'll be fine, I promise we're a nice bunch~
