Redirected to a page that says your Java is out of date?

Hey everyone,

It seems like Google has recently been serving up adverts on CS which cause a page to pop up (www . javaupdatesnow . com) that tells you that Java is out of date, and asks you to download a an update. This is this a fake site which is actually trying to trick to you install spyware on your computer. Real Java updates only come from java.com.

If you've installed that fake update, then please scan your computer with an anti-spyware tool like the Microsoft Safety Scanner:

This is a free tool which can remove spyware and viruses from your Windows computer.

We have disabled adverts on Chicken Smoothie until Google resolves the problem with their ads.
EDIT: We've now re-enabled adverts. Please let us know if you continue to be redirected to one of these fake "java/flash update sites" when you browse CS!

Alright, big reminder. That "Java update" is a virus. You can be directed to it, but DON'T "update" it. I got a message from Norton (a protection software) saying it was a malware computer virus. After, I looked it up, and it can get into bank accounts, credit cards, info, etc.

It is still redirecting for me. I'd suggest getting adblock until they can fix this problem.

I am hoping that I did not do this with my wacom cintiq. It stopped working I am pretty sure the day after I updated Java...
