The adoptions board has been so popular over the last few weeks! We're going to be making some improvements to this system over the next month or so to make it easier to give pets and trade them with others. For example, you'll eventually get a PM when someone wants to give a pet to you, and you could accept it or deny the request.
I've noticed that when people post pets up for adoption, it's hard to tell whether the pet has been given away yet or not, which is why I added a new feature. If you add a little bit to the code for your pet when you post it, the forum automatically updates the pet's picture once your pet has been given away to add the text "Already taken". This way, people will instantly be able to see which pets are still available!
. Eventually, you'll be able to get this special code straight from your pet's page, but at the moment you have to add it manually. You add "&owner=XXX" after your pet's ID in the image link, where XXX is your ID number on forums. If you hover over your name in the forum, you'll see your ID in your browser's status bar at the bottom (it'll say ...&u=1000 or something, the number is your ID). My ID number is 65, so I can post my pet like this:
