The game itself was launched in 2013 and since then has been updated constantly, becoming a well rounded and impressive sim that offers immense wolf customization, a unique breeding system, and integrated roleplay features.
Their welcome message reads:
Wolf Play is an exciting online Wolf game blending roleplay elements with SIM game features.
Embrace pack life as you assemble your pack, breed your wolves, hunt for food, gain and protect your territory. Battle other packs and NPC creatures as you explore your world.
Develop your wolves into unique individuals and roleplay them with other members. The way you build your wolves' characters influence how they interact with the world around them.
Some of the notable features are:
- A massive amount of wolf attributes, including coat design and rarity, birth defects, stat boosts, character point assignment, talents, vitals, and other physical attributes as well as editable sections for biographies, backgrounds, preferences, and skills.
- Gear to decorate your wolves and decor to decorate their background and foreground.
- Use up to six wolves in your pack to explore six different biomes, each with different events, items, prey, and enemies. Increasing your wolves character points over time adds more to the explore experience.
- A massive breeding system that documents a wolf's pedigree and can result in random, rare attributes.
- A PVP system that allows you to battle other packs with up to six wolves.
- A brand new! forum section, much like Chicken Smoothie! :>
- Crafting system to create new items from items found in explore and bought from others.
- Market den shop system to sell items that are discovered or crafted.
- Daily "sanctuary" auctions of rare wolves that have been released.
- Auction system to get the best deal on your special wolf!
- There is also a premium currency that is bought with real money or with in-game currency from other players that allows you to completely customize wolves, purchase special items for your account and wolves, and allows access to several side features such as an herb garden and additional specializations. These features are fun but are not necessary to enjoy the game!

They just released a massive update to the custom maker, allowing for the rearranging and opacity-changing of markings. In short, all of the restrictions around design have been fixed! There are even more possibilities for wolf designs than ever! *v*
