Introduction
Animal U, pretend institute of higher learning for animals and other creatures, broke virtual ground, just outside the bustling, fantasy city of Petropolis in 2008. AU’s motto “Furry·tas,” may give some of you a clue to our purpose.
Animal U is a free, family-friendly site for animal roleplay. While the theme of the site is animal college, users are invited to explore other themes, such as wolf packs, Warriors, and horse ranches. Users can also level up and compete to become Big Animal on Campus- a title given only to those who have earned their “Pet Degree” and reached level 161.

AU's community is small, social, and upbeat. Many of us have played for years and are all great friends! Everyone is welcoming and will gladly help you if you need it. The main admin, Augie, is also very friendly. I recommend saying hello to people as soon as you join. You can do this by clicking "yearbook" at the top, clicking on someone's name, "write on this student's whiteboard", then "add comment". A blue square around a person's profile picture means they are online, so they will likely respond faster.
Additionally, all users help enforce the rules to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone. The rules include:
-Absolutely no bullying (this includes the harassment of others because of their religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, etc)
-No roleplaying extreme violence, suicide, or other triggering scenarios
-No sexual content (We have minors on the site)
New players recieve 40,000 AU Bux, a starter bookbag and planner, one Petro, one room from a randomly selected hall, and complete access to the game for free. Users are not required to activate their email, or provide a real name or birthday.
Wait- Completely free?
Yes! Users can choose to purchase AU Bux or Petros if they wish, however it is not necessary. There are many opportunities to earn AU currency for free (without watching ads or doing surverys).
