Lorali, drifted in the state between being awake and sleeping. She knew she would have to break out of her delusional state sometime and come back to reality, but a few more minutes couldn’t hurt. Then her mind made up the decison and violently snapped her out of the state and her eyelids flew open. Grumbling she rolled on her side and gazed at the sun filtering through the windows, making the usual invisible dust, visible to the naked eye. Throwing her legs to the side of the bed she got up and walked over to the bowl of cold water. Cupping her hands and filling them with water she slowly brought them up to her face and ran her hands down her face instantly jolting her awake and making her fully aware. Looking at her reflection in the mirror lorali stared at her slightly drenched face. Her jawline could cut glass and her hazel eyes could seduce anyone, her chocolate brown hair framed her face perfectly, what a good queen she would be. Turning her head she saw her clothing for the day laid perfectly on the trunk at the end of her bed. The king had passed, and today was the day she must make an impression. Hopefully win the favor of the other houses and eventually win the throne. The dress was a deep royal purple, simple yet unique. The shoes were a beautiful polished silver, next to the dress was a diamond collar, Of course a diamond collar to show off her family’s wealth. Letting her eyes trace over the clothing her left hand glided over to her right and started to fiddle with her purple amethyst ring, gifted to her by her grandmother. Gulping she felt her heart starting to race. Being on the battle field , facing the enemy...that didn’t scare her, but royal affairs and having to actually make a good impression, well that scared her more than anything. Taking a deep breath she changed out of her night clothes and put the simple purple gown on, Examning her final look she noticed the back dropped all the way to the small of her back. Quite the way to make an impression she grumbled to herself and quickly put the silver high heels onto her feet. Standing up, she sighed…. She hated heels with a passion but they look nice, putting the diamond collar on it felt like an extra wait on her neck. Looking into the mirror she fixed her posture and called in her maids. “ Do whatever my mother wants to do with my hair...and quickly please” she grumbled, sitting down in her vanity chair she cringed when they started brushing through the tangles and tying her hair uncomfortable tight, at moments she wanted to scream but held back for the maids sake. Finally they backed away and lorali gazed into the mirror at her styled hair, a small smirk made its way onto her face. It was surprisingly good, it was simple yet beautiful and her hair looked silky yet voluminous. Standing up she dusted her dress and made her way out of her room. Making her way down to the main room she waited for the rest of her family. Leaning back into the cushioned chair she smiled to herself once more. She looked great, not to sound arrogant, and she was ecstatic to see Callum, surely looking like this she could win their little flirtatious competition once and for all.
The castle, was quite magnificent....even more beautiful up close, making her way inside the castle. She could get used to this, if this is what she got to live in if she took the throne she is all for it.
