"hi, my name is josefina. i'm a twenty-two year old girl born in morocco, raised in france, and settled in oregon. i began drumming at the age of nine. a neighbor had came over to babysit me and she was like, 'i've got this really cool instrument over at my house. do you wanna try it?' and i was hooked. it was very loud and although i'm typically quiet unless spoken to, i found it amazing to be able to use the drums as a way of art. drums are art regardless of what anyone says. you can't have a band without percussion so here i am!" - 2016 interview

josefina is definitely the mom friend. she will cuss you out in french and apologize for it in english, saying she meant nothing by it.
she's one of those people who may seem aloof but really are just mindless and shy. she has a passion for music and has a secret talent for singing, but will never admit that. jo enjoys her life and is extremly thankful. most people would say that she's funny once you get to know her or that she is one of the most benevolent people you could ever meet, but her humble personality would say that she's a bit short to be something special. josefina's original plan, if not being a professional drummer, was to become a model. the arabian girl might be shy but she is absolutely photogenic, even when banging on a set of drums. not only is jo talented, but she's quite intelligent and wise thanks to her motherly traits. she is quite open about her life experiences and is willing to give advice to anyone. she is an amazing listener and will take hours out of her day to help those who need it. she has also been said to be related to selena, but that's just a family myth. as for her style, it is kind of all over the place. as a musician, josie has to constantly reinvent herself when the band comes out with new things. however, having a love for fashion also helps her out a bit.

characters are nicknamed after famous musicians of the 80s: cyndi lauper would be the popular, bubbly girl and prince would be an open-minded, flirtatious guy, etc. they're all in their 20s and each of them have a number on their wrists. they're the hawkins lab rejects of present day. the lab was supposedly shut down but secret projects were unraveled when kids disappeared and turned up in their teen years with numbers engraved on their arms. they're known as the rejects because they seemingly had no powers; however, they just weren't strong enough at the time and the powers grew as they got older.

who was brought to america by his adoptive family. he was
kicked out of his home around the age of nineteen due to
his uncontrollable aggressive behavior. this was a factor of
him being a hybrid which his adoptive family never knew
about. kujore used his street smarts and intellect to sell
and make drugs. he eventually realized this wasn't the best
idea and joined the northside nighthawks. he still struggles
with alcohol addiction at times as a result of trying to forget
his past. he knows the nighthawks are family but is still hard
of trusting, even as an elite member. is an aries.
