Fairytale Friesian Marking Contest

Hello everyone! While Fairytale Friesians are not a genetics-based species, it's always nice to have markings to pull from as inspiration for both myself and for my artists for our coat descriptions. It can help us figure out what we'd like to draw on days we simply don't know what to draw. And, hey, there's C$ and goodies to be won for entering. Ultimately, this competition is born out of a need for more inspiration when drawing.
Disclaimer for the Markings: If accepted, they'll be implemented throughout both Fairytales and any other equine species I create (should I desire) If hosted on our website, credit will be given to your CS account. You're free to take the markings and implement them in your species as long as you acknowledge the ability to use them in mine. You give me the permission to adjust the marking and what it does to fit the vision for Fairytales or any other equine species I create. Rules for the Markings: They should not be linebreaking; I may make future traits that 'extend' certain markings to go off the lines; but the markings should stay overall on the lines. They should be original....as much as possible. Those based on wild animals, for example, are bound to have overlap, and that's okay. They can be white-marking based (either on their own or modify an existing horse white marking) or darkening (such as dun, zebra markings ,tiger striping, etc.) The sky is the limit; they can build off of existing horse genetics or be entirely new ones. Markings can affect the coat or the mane or both. They can also affect the horn. When posting your marking, give it a name and describe what it does and if it has any interesting properties or interactions with other 'genetics' or markings. Feel free to make marking entries that interact with your other marking entries! Make as many entries as you'd like. Rules for the Canvas; You can create your own Fairytale design to show off the marking. If you do so, only use Rare and under magics. If you don't, just show off the marking. Don't remove the fake sign until your marking's been accepted. You get to keep the horse as long as it follows these rules. Don't remove my signature. Length This contest will officially end on July 7th, 2023. Prize will be 500 C$ to the top prize; every entry with a marking I accept will win a x1 Legendary Unlimited Under Fairytale MYO in addition to being entered to win the top prize. I may offer additional prizes to RU's etc. of which will be determined at time of judgement. |

The launch of V2 will be coming up soon so I'm looking to run the first official boofs contest. The premise is simple, create new features for beaumont buffalos. Those who are chosen will receive a custom buffalo with their created feature. I'm not much of an artist and struggle a lot with line work but i am decent at making my own designs so im hoping to look for an amazing artist to redraw these lines and add some more stuff to the species! This contest will stay up until I have decided on a line art to be the new official adoptable line art for this species! There will only be ONE winner + 2 runners up for cs pet prizes ^^ KEEP IN MIND IF YOU DO NOT WIN THIS CONTEST YOU CANNOT USE THE LINEART YOU REMADE FOR THIS SPECIES! Species Competition (WINNERS ANNOUNCED)
> Canine Based Species > 3 Coat Types Required (Short, Long, Curly) > No gender indicators > base has no horns > Adult Lines and Puppy Lines required > At least 3 Uncommon, 2 Rare and 1 Legendary Trait required
- Different Coat Types (ex. wire, no hair, mop, etc...) - Different Tail Types (ex. Bob, curled, fringe, poodle, etc..) - Different Ear Types (ex. pointed, folded, floppy, etc...) - Horns (ex. antlered, unicorn, dragon, etc...) These traits are up to the artist to decide on. For example, one of the uncommon traits you decide to do can be folded ears while your legendary trait could be the Dragon horns. There are no requirements of which traits to use for which rarity, so feel free to be creative with this part.
these types of layers will not have an impact on you winning the competition - Preset markings (ex. Brindle, mask, saddle, etc...) - Preset accessories (ex. collars, bandanas, toys, sunglasses, etc...) - Color Palette - Extra References (ex. Paw Pads, eyes, etc...)
> Can create Adopts on ChickenSmoothie > Allowed to be on Toyhouse (with line credits to you) > Allowed to sell for C$ > Allowed to sell for USD On Toyhouse Only (so that you are properly credited for lines) > As the Original base Artist, you will always have the right to create adopts whenever you wish of any rarity > If ownership transfer is required, you will be approached first if you wish to take over the species or buy back the lines. If selected as the winner, I will send you a message letting you know and restating the rules above. If you agree to them, I will send out the trade with your prize!
The Third place winner will get the remaining listed store pet after the first and second place winners claim their pets. Once you have accepted the trade, your lines may not be used after the competition unless I, personally, create a species later on with them. That being said, you will be notified prior to it going live when that happens. You will be added as an artist to the winning entry and be able to make adopts as you wish, and of any rarity.

This event is pretty simple, and you're guaranteed to get a Kuonling out of it. All you have to do is color in the egg under this post, and an artist will post to claim your egg so they can design you a Kuon. Everything you need to know about Lunikrins!
Lunikrins are an interesting species that ranges in size from that of a mouse, up to the size of a Shire horse. With sturdy legs and a slightly elongated body, as well as a small deer like head, they are strong and agile. Their large eyes are perfect for watching out for predators. They are called Luni-krins not because they are nocturnal, but because the moon that is full at the time they are born, dictates their magical abilities. They are herbivorous only, with a particular liking for sweet things such as fruit. They always have cloven hooves, and at least one horn/antler. The scales found on their bodies generally serve for protection and in many cases as extra surface area, meant for body temperature regulation. They are found in really any environment, as they are extremely adaptable. Lunikrins roam in bands of between 3 and 25 members of varying gender, size, and magical abilities as they are incredibly social and outgoing creatures. Breeding season is generally sometime between late spring to mid autumn, and pairings are never predictable as they can be of opposite or the same gender. No one is quite sure how they breed, though there is suspicion that it has to do with lunar magics. Lunikrins come in a very wide variety of colors and patterns, the most common being a natural horse/dog/deer/cat color or pattern with up to 3 "unnatural" colors, less common being fully unnatural colors but in natural patterns, and the least common being completely "unnatural". The world in which Lunikrins originate is an interesting Goldilocks planet, very similar to earth, however it has multiple moons, each of which rules over a different principle/school of magic. Silver, aqua, blue, purple, red, pink, orange, yellow, green and black. Silver = 5 day cycles, rules over weather magic Aqua = 7 day cycles, rules over water magic Blue = 10 day cycles, rules over healing magic Purple = 13 day cycles, rules over precognition/premonition magic Red = 21 day cycles, rules over fire magic Pink = 30 day cycles, rules over love/passion magic Orange = 34 day cycles, rules over food/drink magic Yellow = 39 day cycles, rules over crystal magic Green = 45 day cycles, rules over growth magic Black = 63 day cycles, rules over teleportation magic Traits and their rarities: Common;
Lion tail, long with a tuft at the end Medium length mane, extending from behind the horn, down past the hock Deer style antler (5 points) Secondary small horn on the muzzle Feathering around hooves Uncommon;
