View forum - Editable Oekaki - Chicken Smoothie

Oekaki rules

All rules regarding forum conduct, child-friendly content, and art use/creation also apply to the Oekaki, but there are also some specific rules that apply only to the Oekaki forums.

Oekaki Rules

Keep comments polite, helpful, and relevant to the artwork. Do not start discussions or debates. Critique is allowed if requested by the artist but insults are not welcome.
Make an effort to post your drawing in the correct board. Continued intentional misuse of the forum categories may result in disciplinary action. You can view descriptions of what each board is for in the forum index.
Don't spam the Oekaki. Your drawing should show intention and a modest amount of effort. We do not allow random scribbles, simple shapes, or empty/solid color canvases, nor should you post advertisements for trades, streams, or other threads. Covered drawings must still follow the oekaki rules and have art visible, even if they are WIPs.
Don't create Oekaki topics just to share art you've created elsewhere. Art drawn in another program should be posted in the appropriate board (example: non-Oekaki adoptable characters go in User-made Adoptables).
Don't make Oekaki drawings with just words or puzzles written on them. The Oekaki is for sharing artwork, not for displaying a written message or playing a forum game.
If using an editable you must follow the artist's rules. This may include leaving a signature/watermark layer on the final image, or may prevent you from selling colored-in versions as adoptables.
Don't post blank canvases in the contests board. Contests may be posted there only if you provide a recognizable lineart or relevant background for contestants to use in their entries. If you don't need people to edit something in particular, go to the Regular Art Competitions Board to create your topic. You can still make a rule that your contestants make their entries in the Oekaki boards if you prefer it that way. For more specific rules about contests please view this thread.
Specific rules apply to the the Adoptable boards on the Oekaki:
- The Oekaki is for making and sharing art in the Oekaki program. If you’d like to use another program to create your adoptables, please post them in user-made adopts or character design shops. “Cover adoptables” are not permitted, except for “milestone” adoptables in which case the cover must still follow Oekaki rules.
- You may sell Oekaki art/adoptables for CS pets/items/C$, allowed offsite currency, and dA points/real currency. Keep in mind that CS staff are unable to assist with transactions gone wrong involving other site currency or real currency.
  - Any real currency discussion must occur offsite; please link to where you can be contacted. Do not discuss real currency transactions on CS.
- Post your adoptables in the correct board. If you want to create just a few adopts, use the Adoptables 1: Independent/One-Off board. If you want to create a closed species, community, and intend to make many adoptables, use the Adoptables 2: Closed Species/Communities board.
- Follow the rules outlined by the adopt creator(s). Many species owners have their own rules that you must follow in order to successfully participate in their species, so be sure to read their rules before posting. CS staff may enforce a thread owner’s rules if necessary. Note that species rules may not circumvent our official site rules.
- All Adoptable Oekaki submissions must be judged no later than 1 month after their end date. Staff may intervene if the user fails to select a winner after 1 month. Failure to judge a contest after being reminded may result in a board warning.
- Users are bound to the species rules published at the time that the user receives the adopt. If a species owner adds a new rule, they cannot punish players for breaking the rule before it was added. This includes revoking or rehoming adopts. Updated adoptable rules apply only to adopts made after the rule was published.
- Paid-entry raffles are not permitted. You may not charge users for the chance to win something.
- Competitions with entries requiring artistic/creative effort must end with a winner. The promised prize (in this case the character design) must be awarded at the end of the contest to an entrant, so be sure you want to give the character away. You may only change your mind if there are no forms that meet the competition requirement.
- If you want to transfer your species to another player, then you will need to notify CS staff beforehand. More information on transferring thread ownership can be found here.

Species I made in 2017. I haven't been and won't be using them so they are now free to make.

Usage rules:
• Do not remove or hide my signatures.
You may move them as long as they are visible.
• Do not redistribute the base.
• You can sell/trade them.
• You may take them off-site, just credit me for the base and species.
If on Toyhouse, credit Katt for lines, elsewhere credit Lillekatt.

Design rules:
• They can have any colour and pattern on their body, regardless of element.
• Keep the elements in mind when creating the orbs, they will always have a connection to the dragons element in some way. That could be colour, texture or shape. You can turn them into fireballs, water spheres, jack o'lanterns, change their shape, anything you want, as long as there is some sort of connection to their element(s). Note that orbs must always glow in some way, as that is their life source.
• Make as many edits as you want. Add hair, add more spikes, flames, change shape of ears, tail shoulder spikes, add more orbs, whatever.

What is an Eledraan?
An Eledraan is a type of dragon with fur, horns and brightly glowing orbs. They have large spikes, or horns, growing on their head, back and tail. They grow to about the size of an African elephant, though some have been seen to grow even larger. The males are slightly larger than a female, other than size, there is no distinctive difference in appearances between them. The female lays 1-3 eggs at a time. The eggs are large and are covered in soft spikes, often emitting a dim glow which hints at the element of the baby. The element they recieve is mostly random, but can be affected by nearby magic.

Brightly glowing orbs shows that an Eledraan is healthy. When an Eledraan gets sick or hurt, emotionally or physically, their orbs will start to fade, causing their powers to lessen. When an orb fades completely, so will the Eledraan. Small wounds or illnesses will only cause a temporary decrease in power. To increase the orb capacity and power they start training at a young age.

They do not eat regular food for nutrition, but instead absorb magic by eating magical plants and crystals. The magic is then stored in the orbs and can be used by the Eledraan. However, if magic is consumed beyond their orb capacity, their magic may become uncontrollable and harmful. The main use of the magic is to sustain themselves and their young ones, but the magic can also be used to control elements and to fly, though flying drains their energy very quickly and they will rarely fly long distances. Some Eledraan of certain, not all, elements may choose to learn healing. However, healing requires extensive and intense training and few choose to learn it even with the possibility.

The elements
Eledraan use their magic to control an element and to fly.

Eledraan are born into a random element, it can however be affected by nearby magic. There are some rare cases in which a baby will be born with 2 elements, often called halflings. Halflings will rarely ever be a master at either of them, but can learn to use both at a decent level. A halfling can only learn healing if both of their elements are capable (see elements below). Their orbs will reflect both elements, they may have orbs that mix togheter or their orbs may look different from eachother.

The elements an Eledraan can have are:
fire
earth
nature*
wind
water*
frost
lightning
shadow
light*

* Eledraan with the elements nature, water or light can learn healing with a lot of dedicated training.

Heeeereee I am again with ~more~ horse lines! This time a design sheet of 6 horses. Every horse has its own folder of options, including all the manes and tails shown, and optional halter. They should be pretty easy to use - everything is neatly organized and has locked color layers n all c:

Rules
-Do NOT remove my signature on each horse used, no matter what. If it needs to be re-colored or moved to be visible depending on what you do with the horse or background, feel free to do so.
-Do NOT take credit for the original lines
-Do NOT try to sell the lines themselves here or offsite. You cannot edit the lines and sell them as an edited version, either.
-Do NOT repost these in the Editable Oekaki forum, even with alterations.
-You CAN edit the lines as much or as little as you'd like
-You CAN use these for character sales, adoptable species, or custom orders
-You CAN post these offsite, but you MUST link back to the original if you are posting outside of CS

Free base because I want to see what y’all can make.
It can be used for adopts, references, etc.
The cover shows the 3 shading options on the top row, and different combinations of some other things I drew on the bottom row.
Some of the extras are a big cat tail, curly tail, fluffy body, bobtail, etc. and you can edit it too.
Don’t delete the signature, credit me for the base, and don’t take it off of CS.
And I think that’s it :p

I know that it's very common for artists of all skill ranges to be quite intimidated from drawing backgrounds for their art pieces. Personally, I'm the opposite - I have an easier time painting a background than I do drawing a character within it.
So, wouldn't it be nice to try and combine those together? ( ˘▽˘)っ

I thought it could be nice to try and open this sort of a collaboration series of sorts where I draw a background and leave it open for you folks to use and draw your characters or even entire scenes within it! ♥

So, I invite you to try it out; and I'm also open for suggestions and to hear your thoughts about it: Do you think this could be a nice idea? Would you like me to do paint a specific scenery or background that you would like to draw your characters on?

Don't be shy to also let me know if the format is a bit too vague or difficult, and I'll do my best to learn and improve so we all can have a fun experience! ヾ(＾-＾)ノ

This is absolutely gorgeous! I look forward to seeing how others add in their cuties! I would do one myself but Oekaki is far to intimidating to me I will remain hiding in my own art program lol, especially since I'm stuck on mobile and Oekaki mobile is....yikes.

Here's a list of characters. Let me know if you want anything added. Each base contains a unicorn and pegasus and alicorn parts, except the stallion and creatures.
